There’s not much that’s more embarrassing than someone walking in on you having sex. But at least you’re getting some. What’s more embarrassing is trying to get some 90’s cyber sex action and being owned by the person you thought was gonna give it up… virtually.
For ultimate cyber fun, check out these guys (SFW).
Aren’t we just the greatest?
There’s always more. Star Wars > Real Life.
Good Guys/Bad Guys set.
They may have taken my wallet, money, phone, cards etc….but they ain’t got these.
Princess Leia deck.
Stirred, not shaken
So I was walking home, on my own street, in the posh part of town, 2 guys jumped out of a car and robbed me. One was very keen on stabbing me, thankfully his friend calmed him down. They took everything. Wallet, cards, id, Iphone, £4.73 in cash. Gave me two choices… run or get stabbed. I took the former.
Wouldn’t be too concerned, but man this happened on the street I live on! I live in the posh part of town as well!
You made the right choice. Glad you’re OK.
Three things…
1) Posh part of town or not, anyone can be robbed at anytime.
2) While I did prepare to fight my assailant the night he attempted to rob me, he was not armed. And he had me backed into a corner. What you did was the right thing to do.
3) Anyone reading this…if you are being robbed or mugged, in most cases the assailant does NOT want to hurt you. If you do not want to fight or risk a fight, give them what they ask for, but throw it as far as you can away from you, and run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. Scream while you are running. The 30 seconds it takes them to pick up what you threw, is a lot of time to get away.
End of self defense lesson for today.
ANd I am glad you are OK too. I was in that position less than a month ago. Only it was a parking lot.
Indeed. It’s far better to deal with the hassle of reporting your phone/cards stolen then it is dealing with the hassle of being stabbed and then having to report your stuff as stolen.
Bit of an update - I had a call from the police, and over the past week or so it appears a gang is operating in the area. Quite a few assault and robberies have happened in the area at night over the past week or so and they think it’s the same guys. Could happen anywhere really!

Yikes! Did this just happen? Are you ok?
I’m ok, obviously quite shaken. I’ve actually got a few marks on my arms where they grabbed me but I’ve only just noticed them. Spent part of the night driving around in a police car seeing if we could spot them. No luck. All happened to fast! All over in a minute or so. I was honestly expecting to get stabbed or at least badly beaten. Very worried as you can imagine - this was on my street, fully residential area in the nice part of town, if it’d had happened somewhere else I wouldnt be too worried, but my own street! Eek!
